first grade

The first grade competition is a major competition of the New South Wales rugby league hosting several ex-NRL players and providing a platform for new talent to compete in a highly professional competition. Every game is live scored through the NSWRL website and one thrilling match per week is live streamed thanks to BarTV Sports.

reserve grade

The reserve grade competition is a competitive, fast-paced grade. With an excess of talent within the league, several first-grade players often find themselves competing in the reserve grade.

The Newcastle Rugby League's third-tier men's competition is an all-age grade providing a competitive platform for men of all ages to represent their district club.

under 19s

Our Under 19s competition provides a stepping stone for players to transition from junior clubs to a more competitive and professional senior league. The latest up-and-coming talent compete weekly and prove their talent and position. Look out for the latest up-and-coming under 19s stars proving themselves and also competing in higher grades.

blues tag

A new and exciting non-contact, tag form of the sport, administered by the NSWRL. The league provides a platform for women of all ages to show their talent and play in a highly-competitive tag league.

newcastle rebels

The Newcastle Rebels is a selection of hand-picked talent selecting players from both the Newcastle Rugby League and the Ron Massey Cup. The senior team represent our region competing in representative games throughout the year with previous success.

The Newcastle Emerging Rebels is the junior team that represent the Newcastle region. This team provides younger players a pathway to further their talent and compete in a more competitive environment.

newcastle ladies tag rebels

The Newcatsle Rebels also boasts a ladies league tag team, a hand-picked selection of the top talent from the Newcastle Rugby League Blues Tag competition. They compete in representative games throughout the year; the team is a strong reflection of the growth of women's rugby league within the Hunter region as well as NSW.
